The Self-Reliance fair was a HUGE success! Everyone seemed very pleased with the steady flow of people and well attended classes. This WILL be happening next year.

Self-Reliance Fair class schedule June 9th save the date!
This is the schedule of classes for the Self-Reliance Fair. Each class room door will have a sign with the class room number and class schedule. There will be greeters at the door handing out a schedule for the day. Did I mention they will also be making Dutch oven cobbler to be served through out the event :)
9:10 - 10am Wendy McGuire - Beginning poultry care
10:10 - 11am Wendy McGuire - Intermediate poultry care
11:10 - 12pm Wendy McGuire - Advanced poultry care
12:10 - 1pm Chantelle Romero - Shelf Reliance food storage
9:10-10am Lisa Ross - Fit, Flexible and Focused For All Ages"/"Tips for Having Balanced Brain Chemistry
10:10 - 11am Dealing with gophers - Shawn Wimberly from the USDA
11:10 - 12pm Ive Schwebach - Gardening late in the seaon and drip lines
12:10 - 1pm Vet. Thruman Reitz - Taking care of pet injuries and making home made dog food
9:10 - 11:00am Craig Noorlander - Bee Keeping and how to make beeswax candles
11:10 - 12:00pm Lisa Ross - Demystifying the Art of Fermentation
12:10 - 1pm Lisa Ross - Demystifying the Art of Sprouting
Booths
There will also be 12 booths we are hoping to fill all 19. This is what we have so far...
Craig Noorlander will have a booth after his class -Bee keeping
Chantelle Romero will have a booth before and after her class - Shelf Reliance
Dry pack canning booth
Home canning, meats, vegetables and fruits booth
Master gardeners booth
Maggie from Abq Old School to get the word out about the classes they offer
Richard & Diane Sego will have a booth and will be doing solar oven demos outside through out the event
Dave Nuckols will be doing a booth on how to build hornos (adobe ovens)
Spinning fiber - booth by Cynthia Daly owner of Milagro Moon Ranch
The Davidson's will have a booth on emergency preparedness, 72 hour kits etc.
